The VGH Centre for Cardiac Rehabilitation and Risk Factor Management specializes in providing a comprehensive cardiovascular rehabilitation and risk factor reduction program. The participants are individuals who have diagnosed heart disease or are at risk for developing it. In most cases these inviduals have experience one or more of the following: heart attack, coronary bypass surgery, angina, an angiogram, an angioplasty, irregular heart beat, or multiple cardia risk factors.
Although each person is unique the program's aim is for all participants to achieve common goals of education regarding heart disease and its risk factors, appropriate and effective lifestyle change to optimize health, improved exercise capacity, and maintenance of a safe exercise program within their personal limitations

in 1991 by Billy Weselowski, InnerVisions operates three houses for men and one house for women dedicated to the strict discipline required to help those who want to rid their lives of drug and alcohol addiction. With limited government support this "tough love" approach to one of societies greatest social problems gets results.A real solution to a real problem.
Officially
formed in 1988 but functioning since the early 1970's, Pacific Open Heart is an organization totally dedicated to assisting patients prepare for and recover from the trauma of open heart surgery and/or any cardio vascular related procedure. The members of the Association have all undergone open heart surgery. Through their personal patient contact, the credible and positive support benefits both patients and their families when it is needed most.
The Pacific Parkinson's Research Institute exists to provide ongoing financial support for research into and treatment of Parkinson's and related disorders.
For the past 10 years, the Institute has served as a major funder of research undertaken by the Pacific Parkinson's Research Centre. It has played an important role in enabling the Centre to assume a leadership role in Parkinson's research.

Step Towards a New Direction
S.T.A.N.D is a public foundation whose purpose is to support the enhancement of skills, knowledge, self-esteem and livelihoods of those marginalized by poverty and social exclusion. We work with established non-profit agencies that run skills development and training programs, including social enterprising programs, and/or refer clients to existing programs.
S.T.A.N.D helps people help themselves by developing resilience, self-reliance, self-esteem and the ability to realize success in their own lives. Through grant funding S.T.A.N.D. supports initiatives and programs that assist individuals in developing and enhancing life and vocational skills, increasing first time employment opportunities, and facilitating their social and economic inclusion.
